Obsessed with Cattleya Orchids?Obsession or not, if you're a good with house plants, you'll do well with cattleya orchids. Probably get them to rebloom even. As long as you give your cattleya orchids the light they need to thrive. Plus the right care.
Now depending on the size of your pot or whatever you've got the plant growing in or on, you might be able to get away with a aluminum pie pan with aquarium gravel in the bottom. That's just covered with water. As it evaporates, it will provide the humid micro-climate a catalaya orchid prefers. Coddled as it is, water it thoroughly once a week. Every other week apply a diluted-by-half liquid fertilizer. There you have it. Get it right and you'll be rewarded with some of the most audacious blossoms you've ever seen. And won't that be exciting?
